Hi, I’m Stacy.

AdminYou are the reason I do this work.

I was once in shoes like yours—overwhelmed with anxiety, depression, and stuck in emotionally unsafe relationships. I struggled for years to find the right help (which wasn’t easy). I told myself that if I could make it through, I’d return to school to help others do the same.

That’s exactly what I did.

But this work isn’t just about surviving mental health challenges—it’s also about navigating the complex emotional terrain of toxic partnerships, high-conflict divorce, and chronic health issues. I’ve lived through a high-conflict divorce, and I live with a chronic illness. So I understand the deep fatigue, invisible grief, and daily recalibration it takes to simply function. You don’t have to explain it to me—I already get it.

And now I’m here to support you.

It’s an honor to walk this path with you: to witness your realizations, help you get unstuck, and walk alongside you as you make bold decisions and take steps forward you never thought possible.

Education and Training

I earned my Master of Arts in Professional Clinical Counseling from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2007 and received my Life and Corporate Coaching Certificate from Coach University in 2004.

Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of settings—building and running the mental health department of an inner-city free clinic, supporting teens in high schools, working in inpatient eating disorder units, counseling LGBTQIA+ clients, coaching high-achieving college students with ADHD and anxiety, and providing therapy in both group and private practice.  I’ve also coached women through emotionally unsafe relationships and divorces, post-separation abuse, and the daily challenges of living with chronic health conditions–helping them rebuild their identity and reclaim their strength on their own terms.

I founded Therapy Outfitters, Inc. to bring hope, direction, and momentum to people navigating major life transitions—including those dealing with emotionally unsafe relationships, chronic conditions, and post-separation trauma.

My Approach

My primary lens is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based, action-oriented framework that blends mindfulness with values-driven behavior. ACT helps clients move toward what matters—even in the presence of fear, doubt, or emotional pain. I also use the Three Principles of Psychology approach and trauma-informed practices.

Clients learn to stop avoiding discomfort, start noticing their thoughts without being ruled by them, and move toward meaningful change. I also integrate other therapy modalities while keeping a strong focus on psychological flexibility and values-based action.

Outside the Therapy Room

When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my two amazing kids (ages 15 and 19), exploring with my partner, hiking, traveling, and recharging in nature with my dog. I’m a big believer in fresh air, real talk, and finding calm in the chaos.
